AGUA - Los Angeles
AGUA (Adult Gathering, United and Autistic) is sponsored by three local ASA (Autism Society of America) Chapters. AGUA members must be able to manage their own behavior at meetings or are allowed to bring aides. AGUA has a wide spectrum of people ranging in age from 18 to 52. Comparable variation exists on every level. Meetings are held on the third weekend of each month, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, in West Los Angeles.
Beyond meetings, AGUA members are involved in the local community on all fronts, inclusion consulting, self-advocacy, panels, ASA and other autism activities, and social and vocational networking. Informal outings have included art museums, zoos and whale watching. Some AGUA members also belong to other adult organizations such as the Autism National Committee and People First of California.

Tallahassee Autism Support Coalition (T*A*S*C*)
T*A*S*C* is a small, but reasonably active community-based, all-volunteer organization in the Big Bend region of Florida.
The Tallahassee Asperger Adult Peer Support Group is intended to work as a safe, "aspie friendly" environment for participants to develop social skills, acquire new knowledges and gain perspective on life on the autism spectrum in the world. This group is for those from the North Florida and Southeastern Georgia areas, including Tallahassee, Thomasville, Bainbridge and surrounding counties or to anyone who is moving to those areas who is a higher-functioning adult with an autism spectrum disorder, such as Asperger's Syndrome.
T*A*S*C* provides information, referral and other support as possible for higher-functioning adults with autism spectrum disorders, their family members and friends. Currently, T*A*S*C* runs two programs.
- The Gathering is a mainly social club and only indirectly a social skills practice venue. The purpose is to provide a safe, aspie friendly environment for members to experience social contact and have some fun around shared interests and new interests. It meets weekly, Saturdays from about 1:00pm to around 2:00pm in the coffee shop of the Borders Books on Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee, Florida.
- The Tallahassee Asperger Adult Peer Support Group is intended to be involved in peer-led, participant-directed more-or-less formal support group work for more higher-functioning adults with the autism spectrum disorders (such as Asperger's Syndrome). It will meet at least monthly, from between around 7:30/8:00pm until 9:00pm in the Education Building of the First Presbyterian Church, 110 North Adams Street in downtown Tallahassee, Florida.

Different Worlds
Different Worlds is a group of parents, carers, friends and relatives with a common link. We all have personal experience of Aspergers Syndrome or other Autistic Spectrum Disorders. The group was set up by parents for parents and other carers etc to find, and, offer some badly needed mutual support in this very challenging and often distressing area of daily life. There was no other support or help available locally that catered for Aspergers Syndrome so the decision was made to start our group in December 2003.
We meet monthly and invite guest speakers along to the meetings. We have had visits from Social Services, the Local Education Authority, Alternative Therapists re. dietary advice etc. We have write ups, photos, poetry, diagnosis criteria, and much more on our Site, and we actively encourage both adults and children to write for us.
